ATTORNEY GENERAL Adriel Brathwaite has expressed concern about the working conditions of members of the Royal Barbados Police Force (RBPF).

During his address at the annual general meeting of the Barbados Police Association (BPA), he noted that though police officers continued to provide security for Barbadians, there remained a few issues to be addressed.

Brathwaite, after welcoming the new executive committee of the BPA, assured the law enforcers that when it came to improving the administration of the RBPF, they were “on the same page”. Nevertheless, he maintained that there were problems that needed to be addressed.

The Attorney General also expressed concern about recruitment but said there was some improvement as the most recent group of recruits contained more people with new skills essential to maintaining law and order. (RA)
