FISH, FREE FOOD and fun were at the centre of yesterday’s Bridgetown Fisheries Complex as they held their customer appreciation day.

Vendor and coordinator Esther Beckles said the event was being held as a part of the celebrations for the Barbados National Union of Fisherfolk Organisations’ (BARNUFO) Fisherman’s Week.

Beckles added that the vendors were showing their appreciation by giving away free food and drink to any member of the public who passed through the market. Entertainment included line dancing.

This event marked the end of BARNUFO’s week of activities, which featured, among other things, a church service, a flotilla, a cook off, a school tour and a Q In The Community event at Part View Bar & Restaurant. (AD)
