Residents ‘in heaven’ with running water again

RELIEF AT LAST!

That was the sentiment expressed by some residents in St Joseph and St Thomas who have been plagued with months of chronic water outages, which became pronounced during the latter part of last year.

Reports from the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) indicated that outages were caused by a range of issues, like depleting levels at wells and reservoirs and ageing infrastructure that caused leakages.

Recently, the BWA constructed a well pumping station at Sweet Vale, St George, to pump the essential mineral to the elevated areas of St Joseph, St Andrew, St John and St Thomas. (LT)
