Stiffy rules bashment

EVEN BEFORE he sang a single note, Stiffy was the clear winner for the thousands who came to be a part of the inaugural Barbados Yellow Pages Bashment Soca competition.

The screams and shouts of excitement coming from the crowd at Kensington Oval in the wee hours of yesterday morning were so loud that I shuddered to think what would have happened had he not been crowned king.

It was pretty obvious, that although the seven other artistes gave a fine showing, he was the one whom they came to see.

Stiffy knew it too, and did not disappoint. (TY)
