WEST INDIES have defied the odds to reach today’s final against world champions Australia in the Ballr Cup Tri-Nations One-Day International cricket series at Kensington Oval.

Buoyed by Friday’s upset 100-run win against the world’s No. 3 ranked side South Africa, the Windies must now hit the jackpot.

Captain Jason Holder said the victory, following the narrow loss against Australia on Tuesday, has given the players the belief they can triumph in the day-night final which starts at 1 p.m.

“It definitely does. We beat the No. 3 ranked side in the world. We beat Australia in St Kitts as well, so we have done well in this tournament so far and we are pretty confident,” Holder said.
