WHAT’S NEXT for the encore?

Today’s league final will have one hell of a time matching the knockout title game, as Harrison College barely survived Graydon Sealy’s epic fourth-quarter comeback before holding on for Thursday’s 50-38 overtime thriller in the Co-operators General Insurance Schools basketball tournament.

It was an instant classic at the Barbados Community College, with Kolij sitting lucky just to see an extra period after squandering all of a 15-point (30-15) second-half lead by scoring just two in the fourth quarter.

And they’ll have it all to do again at the same venue for tonight’s eagerly-awaited rematch.

At least Harrison College assured themselves one title after bouncing back from a dizzying 12-2 rally by closing out the contest with a whirlwind 16-4 run of their own. (JM)
