MEN ARE BEING URGED to treat erectile dysfunction as seriously as they would heart disease, as this may improve their sex lives and marriages.
The advice has come from medical doctor at Barnsley Hospital in England, Professor Hugh Jones, who said studies had shown that up 70 per cent of men with Type 2 diabetes had erectile dysfunctions.
He said that once men realised they had erectile dysfunction, they should consult a doctor. He also said doctors who were treating patients with diabetes should ask them, at least once every year, if they had erectile problems.
Jones said this should be done because the condition was heavily connected to more ailments such as heart disease, stroke and even death. (TSG)
