THERE WAS AN old woman who slept outside the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH). However, whether she has any children – much less so many she did not know what to do with – is unknown.
Unlike the nursery rhyme, however, all may not end well for the woman as she may be showing signs of mental instability.
The woman, who may be named Doreen, has apparently been making the Accident and Emergency (A&E) Department of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital as her home at night for the past decade.
She can be spotted there late at night sweeping the surroundings and keeping the area clean. Normally this is a good thing but the woman then spends the night in a box near the entrance, much to the surprise and concern of those at the A&E. (CA)
