INDAR WEIR WILL be representing the Barbados Labour Party in St Philip South in the next General Election.
Weir won the nomination tonight with a total of 48 votes leaving challenger Mona Alleyne a distance behind with 17. Ahmed Proverbs tallied eight votes and Sylvan Greenidge, seven.
During his acceptance speech the jubilant Weir invited the other three not to run away, but to work with him as a team to win back the seat for the BLP. (YB)
