THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT Department officially launched activities to mark its 45th year of existence at the Warrens, St Michael offices this morning.

Activities got under way in April and will culminate in October with the Community Dance Festival, which is one of the flagship events of the department.

The hallmark event of the celebrations is the Community Development Day, slated for July 9 in Queen’s Park.

An old time Back-in-Time fete in the Steel Shed is expected to be one of the highlights of that event. (YB)
