THIS TIME PENALTIES didn’t favour Brooklyn Central.

The Banks Barbados International Masters Football Festival has itself a new champion, as Brooklyn Central missed their first two penalties to hand fellow first-time finalists Royalty Ballers a 3-2 shootout victory in yesterday’s final at Wanderers.

After playing to a 1-1 result in full time, Royalty converted their first three shots from the spot for a 3-1 lead in the shoot-out before Brooklyn’s Edwin Lawrence missed a chance to extend the penalties by smashing his right-footed attempt off the bar.

It was quite unlike their previous performance in the semis, where the America-based side were almost clinical from the spot while earning a 4-2 shootout win over Combined Forces. (JM)
