Rangers piling on the pressure

C.O. WILLIAMS RANGERS kept alive their hopes of retaining the Barbados Netball Association’s Division 1 title by crushing Pine Hill St Barnabas on Monday night at the Netball Stadium.

With a turnaround performance by young goal shooter Shaquilla Davis, who scored a match high 22 goals from 42 attempts, Rangers took the critical win 41-23.

The success percentage does not accurately reflect the confidence level of Davis, who was almost flawless in the early part of the game with some superb shots.

Rangers, with successive losses to Guardian General Pride of Village and knockout queens UWI Blackbirds ‘A’, could not afford another loss.  St Barnabas had lost to Villa and had beaten newcomers Newbury Stars. (KB)
