WINSTON WILLIAMS’ PROMISE to build his partner of 32 years her “dream house” will never be fulfilled.

Instead of preparing to celebrate what would have been one of the most memorable moments of their lives, Williams is now struggling to come to terms with the shocking death of his former companion Valdene Hinds.

The 57-year-old Hinds passed away on Wednesday night at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, three days after being shot in the head.

The former housekeeper at Crystal Cove Hotel was travelling in the back seat of a van on Sunday night when she was struck by a stray bullet. She had been fighting for her life in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) ever since.

When the WEEKEND NATION visited Williams yesterday evening at the house he shared with his former partner in Carrington Village, St Michael, he fought to hold back tears as he recounted the big plans he had for the woman he called “the most beautiful woman in the world”. (RB)
