Moore: BWU not B or D

The Barbados Workers’ Union (BWU) is not in bed with either the ruling Barbados Labour Party (BLP), or the Democratic Labour Party (DLP), its leader has declared.

Addressing the BWU’s 78th Annual Delegates Conference at Solidarity House yesterday, general secretary Senator Toni Moore cautioned the hundreds in attendance not to allow cynicism to rip them apart.

“The cynicism has us so trapped and so disconnected from our past that we can’t see as a people what we have, and the political class revels in it. This union is not a BLP union; this union is not a DLP union . . . (TG)
