THE THREE-MONTH water prohibition ordered by the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) could be extended past this month.

So said BWA’s acting manager of engineering Charles Marville during a brief telephone interview with the SUNDAY SUN

Noting that the drought had reduced production from several wells, he said the need to conserve water still existed.

“I suspect that it might be extended because we haven’t seen any significant change in the weather pattern. Even if we saw changes immediately, our wells would still take a while to respond to the rain so we may be in it for a little while longer,” he said.
