MY EDUCATION MATTERS! These were the words being shouted from the St Christopher’s Primary School this morning as Senator Wilfred Abrahams delivered packages of stationery to students preparing to sit their 11-plus exams next week.

As the Barbados Labour Party’s representative for the area, Abrahams said he and the party understood that times were very hard financially for people.

As a result, he deemed the contribution to the class four students as extremely important.

“I firmly believe that an education is the most important asset you can ever own,” Abrahams said.

“Once you can learn something, no one can ever take that away from you,” he asserted, adding that he loved children.

Abrahams implored the Class Four children to strive for the best as they prepared for next week’s Common Entrance Examination. He added that he hoped to make his presentation an annual activity. (AD)
