THE EQUATION for St John’s is simple.

One more win and they’re in.

The play-offs are but a game away for Urban Vybz St John’s Sonics now after they survived an upset-minded Pan American International Insurance Warrens 67-64 on Sunday in the Co-operators General Insurance Basketball Premier League at the Barbados Community College.

The result means that Sonics just have to beat the lowly Bulls in their season finale this weekend to secure the club’s first postseason appearance since 2013.

It also officially eliminated Warrens from play-off contention just one year after they lifted the league crown. (JM)
