BSTU, BUT call for expulsion

THE FEMALE teacher at the centre of the latest drama at a school is resting at home but is not eating well.

The Ellerslie Secondary School general studies teacher of 15 years was allegedly at the receiving end of a brutal attack where a third form student spat, kicked and punched her.

A WEEKEND NATION team visited the teacher’s St James home to ascertain her condition but her mother, a retired public servant, said she was too traumatised to talk.

“The youth have been like that for quite a while; they were always rude but because of the ability to get drugs they [are] worse and it’s more girls than boys now. I’m not pleased at all but the Minister of Education made it worse, making it look like she [the teacher] could have played a part in it,” she said, referring to Ronald Jones saying there were two sides to every story.
