Farm drive a success

MORE THAN 4 000 people converged last Saturday on the grounds of Foursquare Rum Distillery in St Philip for the Multinational Fair.

The expo, titled Celebrating Our Strengths, attracted more than 250 local and international businesses, non-profit organisations, diplomatic agencies and service clubs.

Among the exhibitors was Slow Food Barbados, which promotes the enjoyment and protection of locally produced food products.

Its director of community outreach and education, Julie McNeel, of the organising group, said that since the local chapter of the international organisation was launched in 2012, they had embarked on about eight different programmes to attain their goals. (TG)
