It’s Wildcats vs Pinelands

THE TWO POWERHOUSE clubs are vying for basketball supremacy yet again.

Station Hill’s youth arm, YMCA Wildcats, and Future Pinelands have advanced to tonight’s inaugural final of the Under-16 tournament following contrasting semi-final wins over Bucaneros and Kolij Lions on Thursday night at the Wildey Gymnasium.

Led by the terrific trio of Kasirian Adams, Deroni Hurlery and Shamar Steele, Pinelands rolled to a 63-43 rout of Harrison College after the Wildcats were forced to pull out a last-second 40-36 victory.

But Wildcats didn’t look like finals contenders at one point, having managed just three first-quarter points to fall behind by as many as nine heading into the second period.
