POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING a shooting at Hincks Street, the City, on Sunday night.
NATION ONLINE understands the incident took place following a cruise aboard the Jolly Roger but management of the ship said it had nothing to do with them.
“My security officers informed me it was out on the road, on Hincks Street. We were contacted and we know of the incident but it was not on the boat or the compound. The only problem we had was when we had to turn back a person who had a scissors. We work closely with the police and we conduct searches of everyone who enters the cruise,” said Allan Kinch, the director Black Pearl Party Cruises Inc., the company which operates the Jolly Roger.
Police reported the two men received gunshot wounds following a dispute. However, it is not believed the men were directly involved in said dispute.
“Two men from two City communities were shot and injured, one receiving an injury to the midsection. They were taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital via private vehicles,” said police public relations officer, assistant superintendent David Welch. (CA)
