OVER 2 500 pounds of cannabis valued at just over $5 million, more than 350 pounds of cocaine worth $8.1 million, along with a small quantity of liquid cannabis, were destroyed by the Royal Barbados Police Force yesterday.

The activity, the first for the year, took place in the incinerator at Seawell, Christ Church.

Police public relations officer Acting Assistant Superintendent David Welch, while happy with the force’s success in intercepting drug landings, has warned the public to be aware of an increased circulation of cannabis resin-laced brownies. (LK)
