Burke, Fraser, Williams spearhead Barbados CARIFTA team

AUSTIN SEALY Trophy winner Mary Fraser, double sprint gold medallist Mario Burke and inform Sada Williams will spearhead a 30-member Barbados team to the CARIFTA Games in Grenada, March 26 to 28.

Burke will be joined by fellow United States-based athletes Tristan Evelyn, Ramarco Thompson and Ayana Morgan.

Chairman of the selectors and vice-president of the Athletics Association of Barbados also announced a place could be found for another overseas-based athlete, hurdler Michael Nicholls.

Squad

Under-18 Girls: Tiana Bowen, Hannah Connell, Mary Fraser, Kiera Forde-Richards, Yuriko Harewood.

Under-18 Boys: Jonathan Jones, Seth Edwards, Anderson Greaves, Triston Gibbons, Matthew Clarke, Antoni Hoyte-Small, Nathan Fergusson, Antonio Farrell, Rasheeme  Griffith, Rio Williams, Ondre Callender, Tre Hollingsworth.

Under-20 Girls: Sada Williams, Ashantia Phillips, Elizabeth Williams, Tristan Evelyn, Ayana Morgan.

Under-20 Boys: Akeem Marshall, Romario Marshall, Josiah Beckles, Ramarco Thompson, Mario Burke, Jaquone Hoyte, Kevin Briggs, Rivaldo Leacock. (EZS)
