THREE CHEERS are in order for Scout Of The Year, chief petty officer Christopher Brathwaite.
He not only met the criteria for the title, but was also awarded the Chief Scout Award when the Barbados Boy Scouts Association held its Founder’s Day service yesterday at the gymnasium of the Garfield Sobers Sports Complex.
To earn the Chief Scout’s Award, Brathwaite had to successfully complete 17 requirements in the areas of scout craft, adventure, culture, community, health, commitment, local knowledge and leadership. He also had to earn a new proficiency badge and complete a personal project.
His excellent performance in all areas helped him to cop the Scout Of The Year award donated by PricewaterhouseCoopers. (LK)
