THE MARSHALLING of the forces within the Barbados Labour Party (BLP) as it seeks to regain office may not be a smooth ride.

Rommel Marshall, a past Cabinet member in a BLP administration, is looking to rejoin the party, but Dale Marshall, one of its senior members in Parliament, is not rolling out any welcoming carpet.

 Rommel wants his former colleague Dale to move past previous squabbles between the two of them and get down to the business of regaining office for the party.

But Rommel’s desire to jump back into the fray is not going down well with Dale, representative for the parish of St Joseph, and now Opposition Shadow Minister for Legal Matters in the House Assembly. Dale is frowning on any move by Rommel to reconnect to a BLP ticket and made that clear at his constituency meeting on Sunday.
