CHILDREN attending the A Dacosta Edwards Primary School are having an uphill task in getting to school on time because of poor bus service.

And their parents are frustrated with the continual lateness of the school shuttle to take students from Chalky Mount Primary to the school.

Last year, the students from the Chalky Mount Primary School were merged with the A Dacosta Edwards in Belleplaine, St Andrew, and the residents of Chalky Mount were promised by the Ministry of Education that a school shuttle would pick up their children from the district and take them to and from the school. However, the service has not been working well.

Natalie Murray, a resident of the close-knit community, told the SATURDAY SUN the school bus was supposed to arrive there for 8 a.m. However, the times have been very inconsistent, with the bus coming well after 10 a.m. one Monday morning.
