JETBLUE IS REPORTING a strong response to its upcoming daily scheduled service between Barbados and Fort Lauderdale, South Florida.

“Response to this new service has been robust, which is not surprising,” said Elizabeth Ninomiya, JetBlue’s manager of corporate communications for Latin America and the Caribbean.

“We’ve known for some time that Barbadians have been interested in having service to this JetBlue focus city, as it will provide a convenient alternative for travel to South Florida and many points beyond.”

The non-stop round trip between Grantley Adams International Airport (GAIA) and Fort Lauderdale will start on National Heroes Day, April 28. A number of local travel agencies are already promoting specials for Barbadians looking to go to the American city.
