The mood was sombre at Coleridge and Parry School yesterday as distraught members of staff and students gathered following the tragic death of one of the school’s teachers.

Students and teachers who turned up at the school just after 10 a.m. were counselled by members of Network Services.

On Wednesday, 42-year-old Corelius Barrow, a teacher at the St Peter school, died in a fire at his Regency Drive, Warrens Park South, St Michael home along with his children, 22-month-old Riordan and eight-month-old Rhea.

Deputy principal Captain Rodney Millington said Barrow was very dedicated to his job for the four years he worked with him. However, he indicated that he did not know him outside of a professional capacity. (RA)
