Highway 1 will be temporarily closed from Sunday, July 28, to facilitate the installation of flood alleviation structures, as part of the Adaptation Measures to Counter the Effects of Climate Change (AMCECC) Project.

As a result, traffic will be re-routed between Holetown and Porters Great House with the following traffic diversions taking effect.

Northbound traffic will turn right by Sunset Crest Mall and travel along Flamboyant Avenue and Hibiscus Avenue to Seaview Road. Southbound traffic will be diverted by Limegrove Lifestyle Centre to Cherry Avenue connecting to Mayhoe Avenue.

Seaview Road will remain open for two-way traffic as normal, and Mayhoe Avenue will remain open, but only for one-way southbound, except between Flamboyant and Highway 1, where it is two-way.

Highway 1 between Highway C at Trents Playing Field and Porters Road will be closed, and traffic will be diverted via Trents Tenantry Road.

The public is advised to adhere to all temporary traffic signage and instructions from contractor personnel. (BGIS)
