Sprightly centenarian holds court as GG visits

BARBADOS’ newest centenarian got the royal treatment during his 100th birthday celebrations yesterday.

Joseph Fernando Graham, who was dapperly clad in a suit, gold chain and sunshades, said he felt “like a king” and was honoured to share his special moment with “so many genuine people”.

He shed a tear upon the arrival of Governor General Sir Elliott Belgrave at the J&J Senior Citizens Home in Newton, Christ Church, where he has been resident for three months.

Sir Elliott presented Graham with a food basket, non-alcoholic wine and a birthday card.
