And early yesterday morning, Jamaicans Keith Anthony B Blair and Rexton Shabba Ranks Gordon teamed up for ten unforgettable minutes to thrill fans at the FLOW-powered Hennessy Artistry at Kensington Oval.
Shabba had not been one of the originally advertised acts, but his arrival in Barbados on Friday gave reggae fans an early indication they were in for something special. They were not disappointed.
After main act Anthony B set the Oval ablaze for about 30 minutes with hits such as Hurts Di Heart, Waan Back, Don’t Worry, Don’t Wanna Be, I Understand, Damage, Fire Pon Rome, Good Life, Only A Woman and Wine And Roses, he introduced Shabba Ranks as the “emperor of dancehall music”. The two then paired for a wicked sound clash.
