GAYS ARE THE champions of the seventh annual St Peter Ah Come From Independence Village football tournament.
They clinched the title with a convincing 5-2 victory over Road View in an entertaining final at the Speightstown Playing Field on Sunday night.
A hat-trick from Damien “Duffy” Edwards, who netted goals in the 8th, 26th and 38th minutes, paved the way for victory.
Jedega “Mugsy” Edwards and Renaldo Griffith were the other goalscorers for the winners, while Omar Edwards scored two consolation goals for Road View. (BN)
