Crop Over came to The City earlier today when Republic Bank hosted their version of Grand Kadooment and took over Broad Street.
General manager of retail banking, Sharon Zephrin, who is also known as “the Queen of the band”, explained the company had been sponsoring the 45-year-old national festival for the past four years.
Zephrin took to the streets, leading the “band” which included staff of Republic Bank, dancers and soca artiste Flexi. Also joining the parade was champion rally driver Justin Campbell, who dazzled the crowd at the intersection on the Charles Duncan O’Neal bridge by revving his engine and doing some donuts in the middle of the road.
The parade ended at Independence Square with a Mini Kadoo.(RA)
