Courting the Oval

There has been great concern about the lack of practice time on the squash courts, but that may soon be a distress of the past.

President of the Barbados Squash Association (BSA), Monty Cumberbatch, said the association was in discussion with Kensington Oval Management Inc. (KOMI) about incorporating courts into the facility.

With the temporary closure of the Gymnasium at the Garfield Sobers Sports Complex, the association was looking to the Oval, but those arrangements were not yet finalised.

“If we had courts the kids could play more and it would really assist in their development,” said Cumberbatch.
