A LAVISH CEREMONY is underway to herald the opening of the David Thompson Health and Social Services Complex at Glebe Land, St John.
Speaking to her parliamentary colleagues, a host of dignitaries and residents, wife of the late David Thompson and MP for St John Mara Thompson said it was with a tinge of sadness that she was speaking at today’s opening.
“I want to use this opportunity to make it abundantly clear this is more than a polyclinic. This is a trans-generational multi-purpose facility,” she said to cheers from the audience.
Adding that it will serve the entire eastern side of the island, Thompson urged residents and users to care it. (HLE)
