Easy wins for seeds

IT WAS ANOTHER subdued night of road tennis when the Massy United Insurance Clash of the Titans continued on Tuesday at the Villages of Coverley.

None of the matches went past two sets and all of the top seeds emerged unscathed.

Third seed Curtis Jones gave Simeon Harewood two sows to win 21-8, 21-8.

So dominant was Jones that Harewood got his first point when the score was at 11.

Young title contender Emar Edwards, seeded six, crushed Junior Wharton 21-4, 21-9 to book his spot in the round of 16. (PG)
