LOCAL AUTHORS RECENTLY had a chance to display their work as Limegrove Lifestyle Centre and Chattel House Books came together to host Author’s Day.
The book signing and reading event in Limegrove’s Palm Courtyard was open to about 250 authors who are linked with Chattel House Books.
Marketing associate of Chattel House Books Erica Hinkson said the event is set to become an annual occurrence.
Although e-publications are seemingly taking over, she said there is still a stage for print.
“Even though I push e-books I prefer print because the feel of the pages, it is what we are accustomed to and there is nothing like the feel of a real book but the e-books are cheaper and there is no denying that. It cuts out the shipping and is easier to [distribute],” she explained. (MR)
