FIGHT YOUR case in the court.
That’s the advice from political strategist and journalist Reudon Eversley to embattled MP Dr Maria Agard in the wake of her being hauled before the hierarchy of the Barbados Labour Party (BLP) to answer a number of charges.
But Editor Emeritus of the Nation Publishing Company, Harold Hoyte, has poured cold water on that suggestion, even as a caller to Starcom Network’s Sunday Brass Tacks pointed to the slow pace of judicial matters before the law courts.
Agard’s troubles with the executive of her Christ Church West branch over the past few weeks culminated last week with the BLP’s national council slapping her with nine charges. Yesterday the issue took centrestage on Brass Tacks Sunday with Hoyte, Eversley and political scientist Peter Wickham weighing in on the matter.
