Celebrities came out in their numbers at the Wildey Gymnasium yesterday but instead of singing or dancing, they served up their best dishes.
This was all a part of the Roberts NIFCA Culinary Arts Arena And Marketplace in association with Caribbean Cuizine.
Some of the big names in Celebrity Culinary Showcase were Stephen Lashley, Minister of Culture; William “Classic” Waithe, reigning Calypso Monarch; and Jeff Broomes, principal of Parkinson Memorial Secondary.
Here, Chinese Ambassador to Barbados, Wang Ke (right), looks on as chef Bin Zhu serves Valacia Tobiere some of their dishes which included spring rolls, shrimp dumplings, and egg tarts.
Semi-final rounds of the Professional Cook-Off and Best Bajan Cook also took place as a few patrons looked on or visited various exhibits.
