Pride dismissed for 300 by Red Force at lunch

BRIDGETOWN – Barbados Pride, resuming from 247 for four overnight, were dismissed for exactly 300 in 117.3 overs in their first innings on the stroke of lunch on second day of their second round regional Professional Cricket League first-class match against Trinidad and Tobago Red Force at Kensington Oval here Saturday.

The last six Barbados Pride wickets tumbled for 53 runs in 27.3 overs after the Red Force took the second new ball after 92.3 overs.

Shamarh Brooks added only nine runs to his overnight 102 before falling for 111 to Red Force’s captain Rayad Emrit while his overnight partner Shane Dowrich was last out for 48, bowled by left-arm spinner Kavesh Kantasingh.

West Indies’ fast bowler Shannon Gabriel captured the wickets of Kevin Stoute (three) and Ashley Nurse (without scoring) to finish with three for 49 in 20 overs.

But leg-spinner Imran Khan was the most successful bowler for the Red Force, ending with four for 75 off 31 balls after removing Kemar Roach and Jomel Warrican for two runs each. (EZS)
