Classic at knockout stage

ST ANDREW recorded a big win over St James North in their final preliminary game of the David Thompson Memorial Constituency Councils Football Classic on Monday night.

St Andrew ensured they ended at the top of Zone 6 when they thrashed St James North 5-1 at Speightstown. Jomo Harewood opened the scoring in the 16th minute while Zeco Greaves made it 2-0 in the 40th minute.

Shaulon Collymore scored in the 56th while Shakir Morris scored in the 73rd. Kelvin Morris hammered the final nail in the coffin just three minutes later when he scored in the 76th minute.

The lone goal attributed to St James North did not even come from their own doing but via an own goal from Akeem Ramsay in the 85th minute. (PG)
