Renewable energy centre is launched

REGIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL players gathered in the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre for the inauguration of the Caribbean Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency.

The centre, which will be based in Barbados, was touted to lead the region in revolutionising the renewable energy sector and to develop regional economies.

There were also words of caution for the centre to be transparent and a call for regional support.

The ceremony also included cultural and video presentations. (CA)
