BARBADOS LABOUR PARTY (BLP) candidate for Christ Church South, Ralph Thorne, has questions about Prime Minister Freundel Stuart’s job.
Speaking at a meeting at Christ Church Foundation School on Wednesday night, when Pharmacist Adrian Forde was elected as the BLP candidate for Christ Church West Central, Thorne queried whether Stuart has a portfolio or not.
“I challenge any of you in here tonight, to tell me what is the Prime Minister’s portfolio. For the first time in the history of this country, a Prime Minister has the luxury of walking around behind his ministers, forced that he is now to give testimony to the state of his Government, and when they make a speech, feeling now obligated to speak, he is following up. I heard him last week speaking behind James Paul. He takes out his thesaurus and he adds,” Thorne charged.
As Prime Minister, Stuart has responsibility for National Security, Urban Development and the Public Service.
