THE VIGILANCE of a security guard has led to the discovery of the car of missing woman Marcelle Smith.

And family members are saying this is a positive sign as they maintain hope that the 75-year-old, whose whereabouts are still a mystery, will be found.

On Friday, daughter Tanya Smith posted a $5 000 reward for information leading to the discovery of the car, P2346, after a search of the family’s Farm Road, St Philip seven-acre property turned up no leads.

Yesterday morning, police descended on the woody area surrounding Chelston Park, Culloden Road, St Michael, after a security guard attached to the complex alerted them to the vehicle, which he noticed that morning. (HLE)
