YA KNOW ME: I like tuh start off most o’ my columns wid a question of some sort.
Ya see, I doan profess tuh know everything. This paper has at the bottom of my column every week dat I have an opinion on everything. Well, this might be true: an opinion but I like tuh know about everything. So, what I doan know, I ask. This is why I asking another question again this week.
This is what I want tuh know: How come bad boys doan stan’ up and face the music or the consequences when duh do bad things? How come duh does run and hide out?
How come if dem suh big, bad and fearless, why when duh finally get caught duh does go and find a lawyer tuh represent dem knowing dat dem do the deed and guilty as sin?
Dat is one o’ the things dat does always baffle me. Now I know dat I arm myself wid a gun, a knife, a Collins or some kinda weapon ’cause I gine wid the intention tuh do some kinda damage tuh something or somebody fuh whatevah reason and if anybody get in the way while I pon my mission, duh gine get hurt.
So my mission impossible is accomplished and I take off and gone in tuh hiding ’cause I ain’t supposed tuh get caught. Somebody else gine have tuh take the fall fuh this one, boh.
Wha’ I doan see dat as being big and bad nor fearless. I see it as being a big coward. If you think dat you evah suh bad, ya should be able tuh stan’ up and take ya licks like a man. Wha’ you ain’t care.
You wasn’t thinking ’bout if the body got any dependents like grandparents, parents or even li’l children; you pon a mission tuh kill and destroy a life or the lives of anybody who happen tuh be anywhere ’bout there at the time of your execution. And then you running and hiding.
Ya see these young people who playing dat dem is gangsters? First of all, duh cahn shoot, duh got a gun in duh hands and duh feel powerful. Dat is why ya does hear ‘bout people getting shoot in duh calf, in duh ankle or heel or in duh buttocks; duh ain’t know the first thing ’bout a gun but duh walking ’bout wid dem and feeling more than the very police and army men.
But tuh get back tuh what I was telling you ’bout: dem having it wrong. Ya see, a lot o’ dem does watch the video games and think dat it does just happen so and then the bad man does escape and fly off somewhere ovah big buildings, up in the hills or in someplace made out o’ steel dat nuhbody cahn penetrate, only tuh resurface a li’l time later tuh do more damage.
Dem should watch some o’ the old cowboy and crook movies. The bad men didn’t used tuh run, duh used tuh stan’ up and face the music when duh do the wrong things.
Duh used tuh laugh at the weaker cowboys all the time, while riddling duh tails in bullets and the boss man used tuh be in it too. It is only when he see all o’ he lackies falling like flies is when he does be running and shooting and the bullets does be flying all bout the place like the men in the cemetery the other day.
Then because he ain’t want tuh get catch and he find heself in a corner, he used tuh grabble a man or a woman in a necktie and put the gun tuh duh head so he could get away.
Dat is how ya does know dat bad johns is really cowards in trute, duh want tuh do as duh very well like. Duh want tuh make a mockery o’ the police; duh want tuh terrorise a whole country.
Duh want tuh make people feel frighten tuh leave duh houses fuh any period of time when the day come. Duh want tuh cause the big able Attorney General tuh beg all sorts of organisations and churches fuh prayer.
Duh want tuh do duh do and then go in tuh hiding – nutten ain’t tuh happen tuh dem. The bad boys got it wrong.
