AFTER ALMOST tumbling to her death in a well, a 63-year old woman is pleading with her neighbour to uproot the trees that almost caused her to die.
Margaret Walters, of Pounder’s Gap, Westbury Road, St Michael, survived the 30-foot plunge on her property on Wednesday while clearing her backyard of fallen branches from the overhanging trees on her neighbour’s property.
It took the valiant efforts of three traffic cops to hoist Walters from the well using sheets knotted together as Walters clung on for dear life in the dark, filthy pit.
On Wednesday, hours after her fall, she was speaking to the WEEKEND NATION with some bruises and scrapes following the 35-minute ordeal.
