DANE SKEETE has finally come good.
In only the second event driving the Sol/LIME/Simpson Motors/Automotive Art Subaru Impreza WRC S12 of his father (Roger “The Sheriff” Skeete), he won last Sunday’s HammerTime 15 speed event organised by the Motoring Club Barbados Inc. (MCBI).
Skeete showed that he had come to the Codrington to Cliff, St John road course with a plan and returned the fastest times throughout the day’s action in WRC-1.
After the practice run on the 5.5 kilometre course, he led the way with a time of two minutes 52.69 seconds. He then reduced the time of his second run to two minutes 47.22 seconds and placed winning beyond his opponents by shaving it down to two minutes 44.24.
