A FORMER Member of Parliament for Christ Church West has offered some free advice to his embattled Barbados Labour Party successor Dr Maria Agard.
Agard boycotted yesterday’s meeting of the constituency branch. It was a continuation of last week Sunday’s annual general meeting which has been suspended on the instructions of Opposition Leader Mia Mottley, after there was some uncertainty over the members’ list, and who was entitled to vote.
Agard has publicly stated her dissatisfaction with how the hierarchy of the BLP intervened in the previous meeting, and said she would not be recognising any executive appointed under such circumstances.
Speaking to branch members Dr William Duguid said an MP could not work effectively without a branch.
