Fire Service Week of activities

THE BARBADOS FIRE SERVICE will commence a week of activities under the theme: A Legacy of Service, A Pursuit of Excellence, from September 27 to October 3, in celebration of its 60th anniversary.

Activities will start with a thanksgiving service at the James Street Methodist Church, James Street, St Michael, on Sunday, beginning at 9 a.m.

The Bridgetown Fire Station at Probyn Street, St Michael, will be home to the remaining activities for the week, beginning with a Health Fair on Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., as firemen encourage members of the public to pay closer attention to their health.

On Tuesday, public sector workers and the St John Ambulance Brigade will compete in a quiz from 7 p.m.

Then on Thursday night, the public is invited to join firemen for a Social Evening and Games Night, beginning at 7. (BGIS)
