TWENTY-SIX year old Nico Beckles walked away from his overturned car with minor injuries this morning.
The white Toyota vehicle Beckles was driving apparently struck one of the solar powered signs on the ABC Highway between the Clyde Walcott Roundabout at Hothersal, St Michael and the Everton Weekes Roundabout at Warrens.
It turned over and landed on its side in the ditch.
Beckles’ girlfriend Leandra Thompson said he was a diabetic and she was not sure if that contributed to the accident.
Taxi driver Patrick Rollock, who is also a paramedic, told Nation Online he was passing by shortly after the incident occurred and stopped to assist Beckles until the ambulance arrived.
Beckles was the lone occupant of the car. (LK)
